The Truth About Islam

The Truth About Islam
We all have some knowledge about religion, whether it be a little or a lot. Most of which or even all of which are things we have heard, but most often not researched. The question is, how much of this knowledge about being a Muslim is aligned with the original religion of Islam?
With Allah's will, I will provide various insights and my personal commentary in this column during the month of Ramadan. Most may be things you will read for the first time and find surprising!
After having studied to grasp the true origin of Islam for 34 years, I realized that the understanding of Muslimism and the religion of Islam are very different from each other.
The casual understanding of Muslimism harbors much that contradicts intelligence, logic and science; and is based on personal interpretations, rather than knowledge derived from the original source. Unfortunately, these informal "Muslim" teachings are assumed to be the basis of the religion of Islam.
There are 2 main interpretations of Islam; the large majority is the group imprisoned in the cocoons of yesteryear. They claim that religion is believing in the relayed information 'literally'. According to them, contemplation and research are forbidden! The smaller group manage to shred open their cocoons and think with open and inquiring minds. They try to understand the religion of Islam.
Herewith, we will reveal some truths we have come to contemplate and research.
The concept of Allah explained by the Koran and the concept of God that people from any religion say that they believe have extremely different meanings.
The laws announced in the name of Islam are not the rules of an incidental God up in the heavens, but rather the explanation of the system we live in by Allah, the creator of the system itself.
Many matters covered in the religion of Islam have bases and justifications that can be explained through modern science. In fact we will be presenting these during the month of Ramadan. Many matters covered in the religion of Islam have bases and justifications that can be explained through modern science. In fact we will be presenting these during the month of Ramadan.
In the same way that no one living on this earth has the authority to speak or judge in the name of Allah, unless they're claiming to be a prophet, none of us has the right to judge another in the name of Allah!
Due to the mechanics of the system, human beings will face the consequences of their actions. Thus, they urgently need to realize and understand the truth about life so that they can use their time in a way that they won't regret in the afterlife.
As the Koran describes the system and order that Allah created, everything in the Koran has an intelligent, logical, scientific explanation. If we are short of explaining it at times, it is because we haven't been able to solve the logic and the system of things, not because the topic mentioned lacks logic.
In this first article, let's be absolutely clear about the following: All the practices of worship that Mohammad(SAW) suggested according to the Koran are not a part of a package. Instead, they are acts of worship that one can observe to the limits of his/her ability. Everyone does the best they can. They will reap the rewards of what they have done, and suffer the consequences for what they haven't.
Let's say that you are able to fast, but not to perform the daily prayers (salat). You must never say: "I can't pray so I won't bother to fast either," and don't be fooled by those who tell you otherwise. Practice whatever you are capable of. If there was a fire in a section of your home you wouldn't let the whole house burn down, you'd try to save as much of it as you can. Therefore when, life is running out, utilize your time as much as possible with anything you can do. If you are a lady and cannot cover your hair, this shouldn't prevent you from fasting, prayer or pilgrimage. Because, wearing a headscarf is one thing, prayer, fasting or pilgrimage is something else. Because, the suggestions in the Koran, I repeat, are not to be packaged, everyone does what they can. Of course, practicing them all is ideal, blessings to the ones who can.

THE OBSERVING ONE

THE OBSERVING ONE
It is an overwhelming experience of perfection and beauty to witness the "oneness", i.e., the "reality", perceived as intuition or "revelation" by those in the past and relayed through allegories and metaphors, arriving at the same truth with scientific findings..
I had previously stated that "REALITY", as the Sufis refer to it, is merely a metaphor and these metaphors can be deciphered by everyone to whose lives they are relevant. By all means, the wise reader will understand and experience the knowledge imparted in this book and ultimately, will realize it to be the disclosure of my own understanding.
I penned this book so that those with an interest in Sufism can acquire a general understanding, to serve as a stepping-stone for further studies they may resume through a spiritual master, and as an incitement for the unraveling of mysteries that are undisclosed here.

Nigella Kitchen
The Domestic Goddess is back, with a new series of kitchen creations to suit all.
Episode 1 - You Know It Makes Sense
Nigella cooks sumptuous roast seafood for famished friends after work; a steaming bowl of pasta with salami for ravenous kids; her soothing 'mother's praised chicken'; a decadent chocolate peanut butter cheesecake for the hungry hoards; and a restorative Thai chicken noodle soup.
Episode 2 - Hurry Up, I'm Hungry
Faced with that familiar cry of 'Hurry up, I'm hungry!', Nigella has an armoury of short cut recipes to ensure there is no waiting around.
Super-fast roast lamb with rosemary and port, rapid roastini and show-stopping, instant orange and blackberry trifle are perfect for a fast, fabulous after-work dinner with friends.
For the teenage hordes demanding dinner at the double, there is crustless pizza - an effortless crowd-pleaser, guaranteed to keep everyone happy.
For lunch in a flash there is Nigella's favourite - fail-safe, succulent Japanese prawns, cooked up and devoured in mere moments.
You can even party against the clock with Nigella's no-stress, make-it-yourself chicken fajitas feast, washed down with luscious largaritas.
Cooking, eating and entertaining in a time crunch will never be a problem again.

Episode 3 - Inspiration Everywhere

Nigella Lawson conjures up more dazzling dishes from the heart of the home, finding inspiration anywhere and everywhere with delicious results.

Recipes include the fabulously kitsch grasshopper pie - the brainchild of a night sat in front of the telly; and easy, elegant, spatchcocked poussins with baby leaf salad and sourdough croutons - a treat for two from travels in San Francisco.

Plus there's spaghetti with Marmite - an incredibly simple supper for adults and kids alike, found whilst flicking through a favourite recipe book; and almost-instant Korean calamari, a delectable dinner dreamt up while indulging in another favourite pastime - shopping.

Episode 4 - Rags to Riches

Truly heavenly meals don't have to start life with painfully expensive ingredients. Nigella's got a whole host of sublime recipes up her sleeve that hail from far more modest beginnings.

Like South Indian Vegetable Curry - made from the wilting contents of a Monday morning fridge raid, decadent Chocolate Chip Bread pudding AKA stale bread reincarnated Nigella style.

Beer Braised Pork Knuckles with Caraway, Garlic, Apples and Potatoes - totally divine and cheap to boot. And who'd have thought plain old eggs and bacon could be transformed into a sumptuous salad or the store cupboard could hold the key to a crowd pleasing Pantry Paella?

This is a real case of rags to riches; where divine meals don't have to break the bank.

Episode 5 - Suppertime and the Cooking Is Easy

Whether you're cooking for family, friends or just yourself, suppertime needs to be easy.

If you're home alone and deserving a treat, simple spaghetti is the answer. If you have people coming over and are pressed for time - Spanish chicken with chorizo and potatoes is the work of moments, the leftovers turned into dreamy breakfast quesadillas.

There's Nigella's no-fuss fruit tart and for evenings when you need speed, ease and restoration there's lemony salmon with cherry tomato couscous.

And for those moments when cooking is beyond you, a chip kebab is the answer.

Episode 6 - Don't Knock It Till You've Tried It

Whether you're cooking for family, friends or just yourself, suppertime needs to be easy.

No time to bake is no problem with Nigella's Irish oaten roll: fast and easy to make, they are instant comfort and instant gratification. Salty and sweet may not sound like a match made in heaven, but Nigella's Sweet And Salty Crunch Nut Bars are totally irresistible.

Plus take a leap of faith with her inky Black Squink Risotto, as dramatically spectacular with its black rice and saut?ed squid topping as it is simple to make.

There's also an unusual slow-cooked melt in the mouth Asian Braised Shin of Beef topped with a crisp hot and sour shredded salad.

Episode 7 - Kitchen Comforts

It's a long weekend of comfort cooking in Nigella's Kitchen where the food is delicious and the cooking is easy.

The action starts on Friday night with a fast and fabulous supper of sauteed Scallops with Thai Scented Pea Puree, then it's Saturday lunch for the kids and Nigella's conjuring up an Italian classic, Pasta Alla Genovese, a double carb dish of spaghetti cooked with potatoes and a fabulous home made basil pesto.

Then Nigella's cooking Sunday lunch for friends and family and serving meatloaf, America's all time top comfort food. It's her friend Ed's Mother's Meatloaf made with hard boiled eggs hidden inside and served in thick slices with Baked Potatoes drizzled in a divine Blue Cheese Dressing.
