GCU increases 130 seats for intermediate classes

Lahore, Government College University Lahore has only 1025 seats in first year Intermediate class while they received 12000 applications regarding admission in various categories of first year class up till now. Due to paucity of government colleges for boys, huge number of students deprived of getting admission in government colleges every year. Many of them have to get admission in private colleges and have to pay huge amount in the name of tuition fee to these private colleges and some prefer private studies.
Keeping in view the increasing number of applications, Vice Chancellor, GCU Prof Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq ur Rahman decided to enhance number of 130 seats for the students to get admissions in first year Intermediate class in order to facilitate the students. Now further admission is given to more 130 students on the additional seats.
