5th, 8th classes results announced
Sunday, March 31, 2013 - Hafizabad—The result of fifth and 8th class examinations held under the Punjab Examination Commission in February last has been announced by the EDO Education Hafizabad. Muhammad Adnan Nasir of Govt. High School No. 2 stood first among all the candidates in Middle examination by obtaining 725 out of 800 marks while Moez Saqib of DPS Hafizabad bagged second position by securing 721 Marks while Sara Azam of Sufi FoundationPublic School obtained third position by getting 720 marks.
Waleen Hassan of Govt. Primary Mauloo Chak, Anam of M.C Girls Primary School No. 4 Hafizabad and Private candidate Rabia Fayyaz bagged first position jointly by securing 519/600 marks among the successful candidates of 5th class. Muhammad Rizwan of Mumtaz Academy Madhora Kalan bagged second position by securing 515 marks while Syed Asad Ullah Bokhari of DPS Hafizabad secured third position by getting 513 marks.
According to Registrar Examination Muhammad Abid Hussain, 12,946 students of 8th class appeared in 8th class, 8,504 were declared successful, showing pass percentage of 65.69 while 19,223 students appeared in the 5th class examination of which 8,488 were declared successfulshowing pass percentage of 44.55.

The incident of bike-snatching, robberies and dacoities have also been increased in the district following the electioneering in the district. According to official source, dacoits at three different places deprived the villagers of three motorcycles, cell phones, ATM Cards and thousands of rupees last night.
Umar Hayat, son of Muhammad Nawaz was on way to his village Mochiwala when two armed bandits intercepted him and snatched away his bike. In another incident Syed Muzamal Hussain of Mohallah Qadirabad was on way to Tootra when two armed bandits intercepted him and snatched away his bike, cell phone and cash amount of Rs. 35,000. According to yet another report, three armed dacoits stormed into the house of Faisal.
